Mr. Muhammad Yaqoob Tabani is blessed to have been born on 28 December, 1954 in a very noble and well known business family of the Memon Community originating from Gondal, Kathiawad/ Gujrat, India; he is the fourth son of Mr. Haji Mohammed Siddique TABANI and Hajiani Khatun Bai. He was born in Karachi where he spent his infancy. He went to Rangoon with his parents in 1958 where he had his Primary Education up to 1964. Due to take-over of all business activities And Nationalization by the then Military Government; the family business established by his late Grand Father Yaqub Abdul Gani in 1885, a legendary businessman of Burma of his time having Established trade with Japan and European Business Houses evidenced from the book “Twentieth Century Impressions of Burma” on page 331, published by Great Britain Publishing Company Limited in 1910; the family was forced to leave Burma and settled in East Pakistan, Where Mr. Muhammad Yaqoob Tabani completed his Higher Education. The family further had to come back to Karachi due to disturbances in East Pakistan and finally The Fall of Dhaka.



After completion of his studies, Bachelor of Commerce through National College, Karachi, affiliated Under University of Karachi; Mr. Muhammad Yaqoob Tabani groomed himself with all business ethics of Trade And Industry under the able guidance of his elder brother late Mohammed Ebrahim Tabani, the Visionary promoter of Tabani Group in Russia ,CIS and Socialist States. After the sudden demise of Mr. Mohammed Ebrahim Tabani, the first Chairman of Tabani Group; Mr. Muhammad Yaqoob Tabani was entrusted the Chairmanship of Tabani Group in addition to his existing responsibilities of the Managing Director of the Group.



During the initial years of his Business carrier, Mr. Muhammad Yaqoob Tabani, travelled worldwide for promoting Family Business in Russia, Far East, China, Middle East, Gulf, Europe, America, and all Associated Socialist Countries. He was the roving Ambassador for Pakistan initiating challenging Roles for development of Bilateral Trade and Social Relations with all the above Countries. After The fall of Soviet Union and emerging of Central Asian Republics as Independent States, he pioneered to establish Pakistan’s relations with all the Heads of these States. He ventured to establish bilateral business relations, Air Links and initiated to supply Gas and electricity from Turkmenistan, Tajikistan and Kyrghyisistan. He was the first Pakistani to sign Protocols with these States to buy Gas and Electricity. Due to his these endeavors, The President of Turkmenistan, H.E.TurkmenBashi appointed him as the Honorary Consul of Turkmenistan in Pakistan. He organized the meetings with all the Heads of Central Asian republics with Pakistani dignitaries and accompanied on Official tours with the Heads of Pakistan Government on various occasions to Central Asia and other Countries including Russia. He also represented the Group on various Trade Bodies of FPCCI, KCCI, Hamdard Foundation, Rajputana Hospital, Hydrabad and Gondal Memon Association, Pakistan Memon Federation, and many Organizations. Mr. Muhammad Yaqoob Tabani is all round Social Worker; always ready for submission in the Glory of Allah. He is blessed to have performed Hajj and Umrahs many times. He has been conferred by many awards From Government of Pakistan for the performance in business and Social activities.



He has the privilege to established and promote first Private Airline “Aero Asia International (Pvt.) Ltd.”, catering One Million passengers yearly on both domestic and international routes. In view of high standard service, two times he has been awarded businessman of the year awards and also 6 to 8 times first private airline of Pakistan. Gold medal was also given as best businessman of the year by Pakistan Federation of Chamber of Commerce and Industry. And to have air links with all Central Asian Republics, Russia, Ukraine by operating Chartered Combine flights earning appreciable invisible foreign exchange for Pakistan.



Besides, above activities, Mr. Muhammad Yaqoob Tabani has ventured in development of many Projects in the Pakistan Steel Mills Corp., Defence Organizations, Oil and Gas Development Co., Pakistan Railways, Alternate Energy Projects, Hydel, Thermal, Wind Power Technology, Coal Power Plants, Mining, Textile and readymade garments etc. He is the Honorary Consul of Turkmenistan in Sindh Province of Pakistan.

He has adopted from his late father, Hajji Mohammed Siddique Tabani, the urge to serve the Memon Community and other welfare work, irrespective of caste and creed and played leading Role in all times of calamities. He is soft spoken, sober in nature and has lust to serve the Society For the betterment of all masses and destitute.



He is blessed with four sons and two daughters, also following the footsteps of their father in Social and business activities.
